Things seems to be getting slightly stale in the PC component world...as they normally do. The Nvidia Geforce GTX Titan was recently released at a whopping $1000! Now PC enthusiasts anxiously await any kind of new news about AMD's Radeon 7990 and Intel's Haswell processor series (the big 2 I'm looking forward to reading on personally) as well as AMD's new line of processors. Nvidia just introduced their new line of mobile graphics processors, the 700M series. Bringing with it awesome looking performance gains as well as some hopeful insight for gains we may see in the desktop 700 series GPU's.
As we can see in the graph, there are phenomenal performance increases in even the lower GT 720M compared to the built in HD 4000 graphics of Intel's Ivy Bridge CPUs. These are at moderate settings, but when we see actual reviews, I guarantee there will be similar gains in higher settings in newer games. Without trying to quote Nvidia's entire artice, they also go to show how the new series has lower power consumption by being able to switch to Nvidia Optimus, how the GPUs use extra available power that the system as a whole isn't using, and how with the click of a button, any kind of visuals just about will be enhanced to optimum levels for your viewing pleasure.
If you'd like to read the actual artice and get more information on Nvidia's new 700M series, as well as read up on all the new nifty features, follow this source link to Nvidia's website: Source
Pretty fancy stuff, will be great to see real world performance....hopefully soon! Well that's all for now, make sure to stay tuned to PC Horsepower!
